5 Year Guarantee

We guarantee that for a period of 5 years from delivery date, made-to-measure goods shall be free from material and manufacture defects.

If your product fails within its guarantee period, we will arrange for your goods to be collected, returned to our workshop where we will repair or replace  – 100% free of charge.

This guarantee does not apply to any defect in made-to-measure goods arising from

  • Abnormal wear and tear
  • Wilful damage, abnormal storage or working conditions, accident, negligence by you or by any third party
  • If you fail to operate or use the made-to-measure goods in accordance with any user and maintenance instructions provided by Canvasman Ltd.
  • Any alteration or repair of the made-to-measure goods by anyone other than Canvasman Ltd and
  • Any specification, information and/or materials provided by you.

This guarantee is in addition to, and does not affect, your legal rights in relation to made-to-measure goods that are faulty or not as described. Advice about your legal rights is available from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Trading Standards office.

What we don’t guarantee

Travel costs related to repairs/alterations to the cover.

If work is required in terms of fittings on the boat, then this is something we do offer but when we are in the vicinity, except under circumstances which we deem extreme and urgent.

Wind damage to shop canopies and awnings – we don’t recommend these systems to be left out in strong wind. We cannot guarantee against wind damage under any circumstances. Although a stronger system will provide more resistance as the figures state, these should be used in conjunction with the operations manual.

 


 

NB. If we have copied the design and shape of a boat cover when specifically requested (this is not advisable) we cannot guarantee the fit, old covers often shrink and stretch in 3D and this can cause an issue when copying. we will however do our best to copy the covers as accurately as possible, add allowance where advised. If the new cover does not fit we will work with you to get a solution. Please note this can incur an additional cost.
